Senior PHP Laravel Developer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Laravel Developer to join our engineering team. You will design and build robust backend systems, architect scalable APIs, and work on complex business logic that powers mission-critical applications.

Location: Karachi or Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Laravel / PHP backend development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Laravel
• Architect and optimize databases using MySQL and PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, query optimization)
• Develop and maintain complex business logic, background jobs, and queue-based systems
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms following best practices
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical decisions
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams in an agile environment
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and proper documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Livewire, Inertia.js, or Vue.js/React integration
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP)
• Experience with Redis, queues, and background workers
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest)
• Experience working in fast-paced agile teams and mentoring developers
