I am looking for 2 Pakistan based graphic designers for a few projects & full time roles.
However, with that said - there are a few things.
I have decades of experience on every single side of a creative discussion - client, designer, agency, marketing - so I won't waste your time with stupid comments like "Make the logo pop out more" crap. You are the creative, I respect what you do - i'll do what I do best, explain what is needed without hindering your creativity.
I am looking for a few things.
1) Someone who is able to understand a brief, question it, and take liberty with application of it. I am not going to dictate your art. I'll give you a direction - because every designer has his/her style, and i'll pick someone based on their portfolio so it's stupid of me to ask you to change your style - I want you to be able to understand the brief and use your thinking / ability / skill / style to come up with the requested output.
2) AI is great - I have a lot of respect for it but it's as good as the prompt given to it, which again really stems from the human. I don't think AI generated artworks are at the point where I personally would use them - so I am not keen on that, and would much rather work with a creative human. And similarly, chatGPT is a phenomenal tool - use it to aid your thinking and not to think for you. Talk to me as who you are & not what ChatGPT churns out to you.
3) While everyone is welcome to drop me a message - I'll be upfront that priority (not 100%) is for Boys & Girls based in non-major cities. Reason being very simple - they lack opportunities due to their location unfortunately and this is a remote working opportunity so I'd prioritize people who are limited by circumstances to more exposure. (The past few projects I hired for - the best person I have currently is a 19 year old girl from Daska. Absolute legend!)
4) Disciplined with timelines. That's one thing unfortunately I don't have much tolerance for in professional settings. I won't rush you into things (Unless it's a rare one-off and we'll have a chat over what's realistic) but whatever we do - we agree on a timeline and stick to it.
Any deviations from what the timeline is - tell me in advance so I can manage other things otherwise there is no excuse for missed timelines.
5) I am not going to look at your years of experience or your university degree. 1-month or 10-years, its irrelevant to me. I am looking at your creativity and your ability to communicate with me. So don't skip thinking you're too new to this or don't have sufficient certificates.
You are a designer? You believe in what you do and think you're good at it? - Great, then drop me a message with the following please.
a) Your name.
b) Your location.
c) Your portfolio (Link to it if you can - or however you wish).
d) Your email.
e) Anything else you think I should know about you.
I'll get back to everyone regardless if you're shortlisted or not. Thank you & Best of luck!
