You will be responsible for managing a team of two, taking charge of outbound calls to freight brokers and shippers, negotiating rates, and ensuring seamless load scheduling. As part of the dispatch team, you serve as a key link between carriers and clients, using your expertise in transportation management systems and freight coordination to keep trucks moving efficiently. Responsibilities:

Proactively contact brokers and utilize load boards such as DAT and TruckStop to identify and secure high-value freight opportunities.

Negotiate premium rates with brokers and shippers to maximize carrier earnings while maintaining competitive service standards.

Build and nurture long-term partnerships with freight brokers to secure dedicated lanes and reliable freight flows.

Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring optimal dispatch plans that maximize fleet efficiency and driver satisfaction.

Provide real-time updates to drivers and clients regarding load status, delays, and any logistical changes to maintain transparency.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date data entry related to rate confirmations, dispatch records, and customer interactions using transportation management systems and CRM tools.

Manage and support a team of two dispatch associates, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve performance goals.

Utilize transportation management and fleet management software to monitor shipment progress, manage routes, and resolve issues promptly.

Handle customer service inquiries related to freight status and resolve challenges swiftly to ensure a seamless dispatch experience.

Adapt quickly to the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of the US freight market, demonstrating resilience and a solution-focused mindset during night shifts.
