About the Project
Project for Capacity Enhancement of Women Entrepreneurs in the Informal Economic Sector (financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) aims to develop and pilot a Women Entrepreneurs Booster Package (WEBPA) to support women and transgender micro-entrepreneurs in the informal sector in Punjab Province. Activities include business incubation, financial access support, market linkage, and the development of strategies for nationwide scale-up. The Project works closely with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) as the executing organization.
Position Overview
We are seeking a competent, proactive, and well-organized Project Coordinator to support the day-to-day coordination, administration, logistics, and financial management of project activities in Lahore and pilot districts. The project spans five years, and contract extension may be offered depending on the coordinator’s performance, project requirements, and funding availability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordination and Planning
- Coordinate surveys and needs assessments with industry partners and women entrepreneurs.
- Support planning and implementation of pilot activities under WEBPA.
- Organize study tours, experience-sharing events, and training programs.
- Assist in preparing the Scale-up Strategy and Action Plan (SUSAP).
- Coordinate meetings, including Working Groups and Forum events.
2. Pilot Site Management
- Organize awareness workshops for stakeholders and potential beneficiaries.
- Support recruitment and training of site coordinators and counselors.
- Prepare pilot sites, including procurement of equipment and required materials.
- Implement pre-incubation, incubation, and financial access programs.
- Conduct weekly meetings with site coordinators to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Collect and enter activity data into designated systems.
- Identify challenges, propose solutions, and gather lessons learned.
3. Administrative & Financial Support
- Manage project cash and budget for pilot activities.
- Assist with logistical arrangements for events and training sessions.
- Prepare and maintain administrative and accounting documents.
- Support reporting, documentation, and communication with project partners.
4. Participation in Key Project Meetings
- Attend Joint Coordination Committee (JCC), Forum, and Working Group meetings.
- Perform other tasks necessary for smooth project implementation.
