Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Solar Design Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in designing solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate must be proficient in solar design software, electrical calculations, system sizing, and preparing technical documentation.
This role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to convert site data into optimized solar system designs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solar System Design & Engineering
Prepare preliminary and detailed solar PV system designs (on-grid, hybrid, and off-grid).
Perform shading analysis, module layout, stringing design, and electrical SLDs (Single Line Diagrams).
Conduct system sizing, inverter selection, cable sizing, breaker selection, and safety device calculations.
Optimize system configuration for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
2. Software & Technical Tools
Create designs using:
AutoCAD (electrical drawings & layouts)
PVsyst / Helioscope / Homer Pro (system simulation & performance analysis)
SketchUp (3D modeling & shading analysis)
MS Excel (load profiling, BOQs, costing sheets)
3. Technical Documentation
Prepare BOQs, proposals, and detailed engineering reports.
Develop Site Survey Reports, feasibility studies, and technical presentations.
Support the sales team with technical inputs and proposal engineering.
4. Project Coordination
Coordinate with installation teams to ensure design accuracy during execution.
Provide technical support during commissioning and troubleshooting.
Address design changes, client queries, and on-site technical issues.
5. QA/QC & Compliance
Verify all designs adhere to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
Update design templates and engineering databases as required.
