THE ROLE
We’re building something from the ground up, and we need someone inside with us.
We’re early-stage and running a multi-vertical operating portfolio — each vertical built to stand on its own and compound with the others over time. You’ll be our technical operations person, working directly alongside the founder and owning the systems that keep the business running.
Your first sprint will be deep inside one of our verticals — a software platform already processing real data, with customer-facing surfaces being completed and a beta launch on the near horizon. From there, your scope expands across the portfolio as new verticals come online.
We work with AI tools as a daily thinking and translation layer. You’ll have a planning partner, but execution sits with you. That rhythm is the job.
BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF ABOUT THIS
This is not a mature, well-documented production system. It’s a functional system built fast — now in the shore-up-and-tighten phase before beta and public launch. Documentation is thin. The backlog is real. You’re walking into honest mess — not broken, but needing care.
Someone who finds that exciting will thrive. Someone who wants to arrive at something already scaling will not.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Starting out:
Learn the existing system end-to-end — every flow, integration, and moving part
Complete unfinished technical work and pressure-test what’s live
Build out our help desk infrastructure and own it — from setup through daily operation, including ticket triage, technical debugging, and direct user replies
Start documentation from Day 1
As you build fluency:
Fix the known backlog of technical issues
Monitor system health daily
Shore up integrations between platforms
Build additional components as the vertical scales into launch
As the portfolio grows:
Operate the system across new verticals
Research and evaluate platforms for future migrations
Document every integration point so we’re never hostage to a single platform
Grow into a technical voice in strategic decisions
THE DETAILS
Type: Independent Contractor (you invoice monthly, handle your own taxes)
Hours: Full-time (~40 hrs/week), flexible schedule
Location: Remote — Kenya or Pakistan strongly preferred. Other regions case-by-case.
Experience: 2–5 years relevant experience
Compensation: $700–$900 USD/month based on experience and fit
Start: Ideally within the next 7–10 days
Offer process: Includes identity verification, reference checks, and a background check for finalists

Tell us about a system or integration you worked on that was broken or badly documented, and what you did about it. Specifics matter.
How would you approach your first week inside a production system you’ve never seen? What’s your rhythm?
What does “long-term” mean to you in a work relationship? Be honest.
2. Your CV.
3. Evidence of work you’ve shipped — portfolio, GitHub, case studies, Loom walkthrough, links to systems you’ve built. Something beyond “trust me.”
4. One final thing — tell us one small detail from this JD that you’d want to understand better before Day 1. We’re interested in how you read and what you notice.
