Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage cloud-based accounting software in line with clients' bookkeeping and monthly reporting requirements.
- Utilize automation tools, AI-assisted bookkeeping apps, bank feeds, OCR technology, and cloud integrations to minimize manual data entry and improve efficiency.
- Review and validate automated bookkeeping transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage bookkeeping records for sales, purchases, receipts, payroll, and payments using modern cloud accounting platforms.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, supplier ledgers, and control accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial data and extract meaningful business insights, trends, and performance indicators for management reporting.
- Assist clients and management with interpretation of financial information beyond transactional processing.
- Liaise with managers and respond to client queries professionally and promptly.
