Key responsibilities:
- Install and commission residential solar PV systems including solar panels, inverters, batteries, breakers, isolators, and distribution boards
- Perform DC and AC wiring, connections and integration of balance-of-system components
- Conduct system testing, performance evaluations and commissioning
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and solar system faults; perform repairs and maintenance
- Upgrade or modify existing electrical infrastructure to support solar installations
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and solar system layouts
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards and company procedures
- Coordinate with installation teams and engineers to meet project timelines
- Support installation, maintenance or repair of backup power and hybrid solar solutions
