Key responsibilities:
- Install, connect and commission electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, breakers, conduits, and distribution systems according to drawings and local electrical codes
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and site plans to determine layout and installation requirements
- Perform routine inspections and testing of systems, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs or replacements of components
- Terminate cables, make connections, and ensure proper grounding and bonding for safety and code compliance
- Coordinate with site supervisors, other trades and project managers to sequence electrical works and meet project schedules
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and test results
