Role Overview:
Manage all tax-related activities to ensure statutory compliance and optimize tax positions for a manufacturing/printing business.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and timely submit all tax returns (sales tax, income tax, withholding taxes, and other applicable levies) in accordance with Pakistani law.
- Maintain and review tax records, reconciliations and supporting schedules for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
- Prepare tax provisions and computation analyses to support month-end and year-end financial close.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and government authorities during reviews, audits and assessments.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on operations; recommend and implement necessary process or policy changes.
- Implement procedures to reduce tax risk for local and provincial obligations.
- Assist in VAT/Sales Tax compliance and related activities.
