Position Overview
WhatMobilePK.com is a fast-growing mobile phone comparison and specifications platform focused on the Pakistan market. We are looking for a highly technical and performance-driven WordPress Manager to oversee the complete WordPress ecosystem of the website.
This role is responsible for managing site performance, technical SEO implementation, plugin development, security, database optimization, and scalable architecture to support high-traffic growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. WordPress Development & Management

Manage and maintain the WordPress core, themes, and plugins

Develop and customize plugins tailored to mobile comparison features
-
Optimize custom post types (brands, models, specs, tools)
-
Implement advanced filters, dynamic data structures, and schema markup
-
Ensure full mobile responsiveness and UX consistency
2. Performance Optimization
-
Improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP)
-
Optimize database queries and reduce server load
-
Implement caching strategies (Redis, Object Cache, CDN integration)
-
Minify, defer, and optimize CSS/JS
-
Improve page load speed below 2 seconds
3. Technical SEO Implementation

Implement structured data (Product, FAQ, Review, Breadcrumb)

Manage crawl budget and indexing optimization
-
Optimize internal linking structure
-
Improve sitemap strategy
-
Fix technical errors (redirect chains, orphan pages, canonical issues)
4. Security & Stability
-
Implement security hardening (WAF, firewall rules, login protection)

Monitor malware and vulnerabilities
-
Manage regular backups and restore systems
-
Ensure uptime monitoring and server health
5. Feature & Tool Development
-
Manage and improve internal tools (e.g., Camera Score Tool, comparison tools)

Develop new user engagement features (price alerts, tracking, dashboards)
-
Optimize UI/UX for higher user retention
6. Data & Automation
-
Automate product uploads and spec updates
-
Manage large-scale data structures efficiently

Improve taxonomy architecture for brands and series

Handle bulk imports/exports without performance loss
Required Skills

Advanced WordPress development (custom themes & plugins)

Strong PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript knowledge

Experience with high-traffic WordPress websites

Core Web Vitals optimization expertise

Technical SEO implementation knowledge

Experience with server environments (cPanel, Cloud hosting, VPS)

Database optimization & indexing knowledge
